Bodynamic is a precise and practical approach to working with the body to make verbal psychotherapy more efficient and effective. This somatic therapy enables the practitioner to make precise interventions related to the developmental origins of your clients’ current problems. Bodynamic International offers a variety of training programs.
The Foundation Training is the one-year basic training delivered in 3 modules of 6 days each.
Modules: You will learn about the interplay between fundamental psychological and physiological development. The unique combination of which will give you information about the formation of the character structures and their various defence systems. You will come to learn how these characters affect the body and why the physiological body looks the way that it does. You will also learn about the preferences and biases of these structures, and how they can be resources or limitations in your behavioural manifestations. You will become more proficient in reading the physiological body and how to interpret this information in psychological terms by identifying areas of a person’s strength and areas that need more care. Furthermore, you will be familiarised with Bodynamic techniques to support a person in changing their behaviour for more fulfilling connections.
Bodynamic’s approach to shock trauma is resource-oriented. That is, a focus on the strong resources triggered in humans when their existence is threatened. The approach looks to heal the shock trauma in a way that increases quality of life and accesses deep resources. The teaching conveys both a theoretical understanding of what shock trauma is – as well as a precise bodily, emotional and cognitive exercises to master the resources and patterns that are called in under the influence of shock.
Bodynamic strongly believes that training therapists to work on shock trauma without the therapists first working on their own shock trauma is not optimal As such, our teaching is divided into 6 modules (5 Teaching days per module), of which the first 3 modules will concentrate on the participant’s own processes while the last 3 modules will cover the professional treatment work.
